What are Nano Brows?

Nano Brows, also known as Nanoblading or Nano Hairstrokes, are a form of permanent makeup that creates ultra-fine, realistic hair-like strokes using a tattoo machine and a very fine needle.

Unlike traditional microblading, which uses a handheld blade, Nano Brows are created with a machine. This allows the artist to create precise, delicate strokes that mimic the direction, movement, and appearance of natural brow hairs.

Nano Brows are a beautiful option for clients who want a soft, natural-looking brow enhancement and may also be an option for clients whose skin is less suited for traditional microblading.

What’s the difference between Microblading and Nano Brows?

The biggest difference is the technique and tool used.

Microblading uses a handheld tool to manually create hair-like strokes in the skin.

Nano Brows use a cosmetic tattoo machine with a very fine needle to create individual hair-like strokes.

Both techniques are designed to produce natural-looking brows. During your consultation, we can help determine which technique is better suited for your skin, natural brows, and desired result.

What is Microblading + Microshading?

Microblading + Microshading combines realistic hair strokes with soft shading.

The hair strokes create texture and dimension, while shading adds fullness and definition. This is a great option for clients who prefer a fuller or slightly more defined brow while still maintaining a natural appearance.

How long do Microblading and Nano Brows last?

Permanent makeup gradually fades over time. Results commonly last approximately 1–2 years, but longevity varies from person to person.

Skin type, skincare products, sun exposure, lifestyle, medications, aftercare, and your individual skin’s pigment retention can all affect how quickly your brows fade.

Clients with oilier skin may experience faster fading and may require more frequent color refreshes.

Will my brows look natural?

Natural-looking brows are one of our specialties.

We customize the shape, pigment color, stroke pattern, and technique based on your facial features, existing brow hair, skin, and desired result.

Our goal is for your cosmetic tattoo to complement your natural brows rather than overpower them.

Do you remove my natural eyebrow hair?

No. Your natural brow hair is an important part of creating the final result.

We work with your existing brow growth whenever possible and may groom stray hairs outside of the desired shape.

Does permanent makeup hurt?

Pain tolerance varies, but most clients describe the experience as manageable.

A topical anesthetic is used to help minimize discomfort during the procedure.

How long does it take for brows to heal?

The surface of the skin typically goes through its most noticeable healing stages during the first 7–14 days, while the complete healing process takes approximately 4 weeks.

Your brows may initially appear darker and more defined. As they heal, you may experience dryness, light flaking, fading, or areas that temporarily appear lighter.

This is all part of the healing process. Your final healed result should not be judged immediately after your appointment.

Why do I need a perfection session?

Permanent makeup is a process, not always a one-and-done service.

As the skin heals, some areas may retain more pigment than others. Your perfection session allows your artist to evaluate the healed results, reinforce areas that healed lighter, and make adjustments when necessary.

Your perfection session should be scheduled within the recommended timeframe provided by your artist.

What are Freckle Tattoos?

Freckle tattoos are tiny deposits of pigment placed into the skin to create the appearance of natural freckles.

At Browstress, freckles are customized based on your facial features and desired look. They can be subtle and scattered or built into a fuller freckled appearance.

We intentionally vary the placement, size, and depth to help create a more organic, natural-looking result.

Will my Freckle Tattoos look natural?

That’s the goal!

Natural freckles aren’t perfectly symmetrical or identical, so we don’t approach freckle tattooing that way either. Placement is customized to complement your face and create a naturally scattered appearance.

Fresh freckles will initially appear darker and more noticeable. Once healed, they soften and become more subtle.

Can I choose how many freckles I want?

Yes. Browstress offers different options depending on how subtle or freckled you’d like to look.

You can start with a smaller number of freckles and build upon them over time, or choose a fuller freckle look.

We generally recommend starting conservatively because additional freckles can always be added.

Where can Freckle Tattoos be placed?

Freckles are commonly placed across the nose, cheeks, and other areas of the face where natural freckles typically appear.

Placement will be discussed with your artist before the procedure begins.

What are Astro Freckles?

Astro Freckles incorporate your zodiac constellation into a natural-looking freckle pattern.

The constellation is subtly placed among the surrounding freckles, creating a personalized detail that isn’t immediately obvious unless you know it’s there.

Can I get a heart-shaped freckle?

Yes! Browstress offers heart-shaped freckles that can be incorporated into your freckle pattern for a small, playful detail.

How do Freckle Tattoos heal?

Freshly tattooed freckles will initially appear darker and more prominent than the final result.

During healing, they gradually soften and lighten as the skin heals over the pigment. Some freckles may retain more pigment than others, which is normal.

Your artist will provide detailed aftercare instructions following your appointment.

How long do Freckle Tattoos last?

Freckle tattoos are semi-permanent and gradually fade over time.

Longevity varies depending on your skin type, skincare routine, sun exposure, lifestyle, aftercare, and how your individual skin retains pigment.

Because facial skincare products and treatments can increase cell turnover, freckles may require refreshing over time.

What is Brow Boost Tint?

Brow Boost Tint combines brow grooming and tinting to enhance the color, shape, and appearance of your natural brows.

Tint helps make lighter or finer brow hairs more noticeable, creating the appearance of fuller, more defined brows without permanent makeup.

Is Brow Tinting permanent?

No. Brow tinting is a temporary service and does not tattoo pigment into the skin.

It’s a great option if you want more definition without committing to permanent makeup.

How long does Brow Tint last?

Results vary depending on your natural brow hair, skincare routine, cleansing habits, sweating, and lifestyle.

The tint on the brow hairs generally lasts longer than any temporary staining effect around the brow area.

For the best retention, follow the aftercare instructions provided by your artist.

Can I get Brow Tint if I don’t want Microblading?

Absolutely.

Not everyone needs permanent makeup. If you already have natural brow hair but want your brows to appear fuller, darker, cleaner, or more defined, grooming and tinting may be all you need.

We believe the right brow service is the one that works best for your natural brows, not simply the most permanent option.

How do I know which brow service is right for me?

You don’t have to figure it out alone.

Your natural brow hair, skin type, previous permanent makeup, lifestyle, and desired result all help determine which technique may be best for you.

Can I come in for a consultation?

Yes. A consultation is included as part of your permanent makeup appointment.

We also offer virtual consultations for clients who would like guidance before committing to a service.

Can you work over permanent makeup done by another artist?

We do not perform touch-ups over another artist’s work.

If you have previous permanent makeup, please send us clear, makeup-free photos before booking.

Depending on the saturation, color, shape, and condition of the existing pigment, removal may be necessary before receiving a new service. In some cases, another technique such as Microshading may be recommended.

How should I prepare for my permanent makeup appointment?

Before your appointment, please follow the preparation instructions provided by Browstress.

Certain skincare products, facial treatments, alcohol, medications, supplements, and other factors may affect your skin or procedure.

If you take prescription medication or have a medical condition that could affect your eligibility, please consult your healthcare provider before making changes to medications or booking a cosmetic tattoo procedure.

Can I get permanent makeup while pregnant or breastfeeding?

No. Browstress does not perform permanent makeup services on clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Are your pigments vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes.
